I found yoga in 2015 after relocating left me seeking a new hobby, a quiet place to retreat and something to re-centre my focus on wellbeing. I quickly became a member of a local studio attending regular ‘power yoga’ classes. I found what I was looking for and more - physical challenge, mental space and a community founded on calming and positive energy. I started to see the benefit of investing my time in yoga, in myself, and felt a big 'gap' after pausing my membership on relocation to Scotland in 2017. Here I found myself exploring Les Mills Body Balance - a yoga based fitness workout, encompassing Pilates and Tai Chi. I was totally absorbed in this programme - the music was empowering and my full body felt invigorated after every class! After two years of participating, I decided to train as a Les Mills instructor and in 2019 began teaching regular classes. Empowering others to create space for their bodies and minds was tremendously fulfilling and reaffirmed my passion for wellbeing, community and personal growth.

Changing circumstances led me relocating home in 2020 - this is where I feel yoga found me, at a time I most needed to heal and grow. Returning to train at The House of Yoga in London just felt so right. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, I qualified from my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Summer 2020 after a transformative 7 months. Exploring yoga philosophy has deepened my insights into yoga beyond the ‘asana’ and challenged my own perceptions about what it means to practice and do yoga. I truly believe this will look and feel different for everyone and that unique self-enquiry and exploration is a key aspect of yoga which I hope to inspire through my teaching. Off my yoga mat I find great energy in integrating my learnings into all aspects of my life - influencing my perspectives and interactions in the corporate world, my relationships with family and friends and my overall investment in my wellbeing.

Yoga has become a lifestyle for me, and now I have chosen to make it my mission to share this with others.

Awaken Within Yoga

Yoga has me experiencing life differently - with an energy, a desire to grow and an excitement for life! It keeps teaching me - reminding me to look and trust within a bit more and to be curious and open to this journey we call life. Most importantly, it reminds me to be where I am today - grateful and smiling...taking life a little less seriously.

I want to help others experience their own growth and enjoyment through yoga. Whatever you choose to take from it, there's a chance to be authentic, practice to practice. I look forward to sharing my energy with you - in person or online.
